Havant Symphony Orchestra

Havant Symphony Orchestra (HSO) is the premier symphony orchestra in the Havant Borough led by a professional conductor. The orchestra rehearses at the Pallant Centre in Havant and performs regularly at the Oaklands Concert Hall in Waterlooville, and at the Hayling Island Community Centre.
Comprising a mix of professionals, music educators and talented players, the Orchestra embodies a vibrant community of passionate musicians, all possessing a thirst for playing and performing to the highest standard.
HSO was Founded in 1962 by Peter Craddock, who led the Orchestra for an impressive 50 years until his retirement in 2012, leaving a lasting legacy of musical excellence. HSO remains committed to its founding principles, offering local musicians the opportunity to engage in music making voluntarily. The Orchestra continues to thrive, led by Martin Palmer, a seasoned professional violinist, serving as its leader and bringing a wealth of orchestral experience to the ensemble.
